Costa Coffee and New Tearoom Open in Helston

Following the closure of a number of Helston's shops in recent months it's a welcome change to report two new businesses are opening in the town. Tomorrow, Monday 13th February, Costa Coffee and the tearoom Absolutely Necessary will be welcoming new customers. Both in Meneage Street, Costa has moved into the shop left vacant by Dorothy Perkins. Meanwhile Absolutely Necessary has replaced Crazy Daisy which closed just a few weeks ago.

Costa will be run by a specialist team of Baristas, the Italian name for coffee expert.  Seven new recruits, who all live in the Helston area, have graduated from a comprehensive training course which taught them how to create the perfect coffee.

Costa's drinks range from the traditional Italian style Espresso to refreshing Cooler iced drinks. It also serves a range of sandwiches, salads, cakes and snacks.

Manager Chris Ring says: "Costa is the perfect place to drop by for a morning cup of coffee or a bite to eat at lunchtime, and we anticipate it will soon become the favourite destination for shoppers and workers looking to take a relaxing break from their busy day."

Across the road Absolutely Necessary is being opened by Jo Exelby, a former CID officer based at Helston police station. As well as a range of drinks, the tearoom will be selling a number of buns and cakes which will be home-made by Mrs Exelby herself.
