Helston Football Club hold their best ever firework display!

HUNDREDS, if not a thousand people, flocked to Helston Football Club last night for what has been dubbed their best firework display ever.

The crowds swarmed towards the club to see the 30 minute display which had spectators grinning from ear to ear and captivated from start to finish.

One marshal said: "There are loads more people here this year than last, loads more. We've just had two coach loads of people from the Lizard arrive!"

People were queuing for entry to see the pyrotechnic show right up until the last minute and the community club was buzzing with excitement. Luckily the weather, though cold, stayed dry and the sky clear.

There were gasps after the large finale, which saw a massive succession of bangs light up Helston's skyline, followed by clapping and cheering.

Comments on Facebook and Twitter declare the event as "the best yet" and congratulate the organisers.

One spectator said: "Amazing, it was brilliant. Everyone loved it. It was the perfect evening!"
