West Cornwall Winter Pool League Results - 18/02/2012

Division One: It was a top of the table clash in Division 1 of the West Cornwall Winter Pool League last week and defending champions and leaders, Wendron CC won 7-2 against the 'mighty' Lizard FC A team thanks to wins from Will Lawry, Les Rundle, Colin Goodyear, Ian Williams and Peter Williams. Helston RBL A made a big move with a 9-0 whitewash over Harbour A and are now only one point behind second spot while Helston FC A won 6-3 against the Rodney A team. White Hart B won their local derby against the Three Tuns 5-4.

Division Two: Helston RBL D got back to winning ways in Division 2 with a 7-2 victory over Three Tuns A and Paris A also had a good 6-3 win over Seven Stars A. Wins from Nick Butterill, Gary Tresidder, J.Pickering, John Curtis and Shane Orchard helped Helston RFC A to a 7-2 win over Gweek Inn A and the RFC B side also had a victory winning 5-4 against Shooters A. Helston RBL B turned their recent bad run around with a 5-4 win over Godolphin Club A.

Division Three: The top of the table clash in Division 3 proved to be a close encounter with Helston FC C edging a 5-4 win over the Killigrew Inn. Mullion FC also upset promotion chasing Godolphin Club D winning 7-2 thanks to wins from Rob Tuckwell, Scott Patterson, Rob Willey, Chris Rosevear and Chris Spurrier. The Crown Inn gained another victory with a 5-4 win over Breage SC.

Division Four: Helston CC are still going strong at the top of Division 4 but had to win the last two doubles to win 5-4 against White Hart D last week. Red Lion A continued their recent good form with a 7-2 win over Paris B while wins from Scott Buckmaster, Trev Conroy and Jake Phillimore helped Helston RBL E to a 5-4 win over Lizard FC C.

Division Five: The Cowshed Bar had the biggest win in Division 5 with an 8-1 win over Angel Hotel A but the Five Pilchards were the biggest movers of the week, they won 5-4 against the Godolphin Arms and also won 7-2 in a re-arranged game against Helston FC Mingbats. Louis Ensink, Mark Wood, Gary Seymour and Alan Lester all won for the Potters Bar A team in their 5-4 win over their B team.
