HELSTON’S town manager, Richard Dennery, is contacting agents of businesses with details of “footfall”. This signifies the number of people visiting the town centre. Mr Dennery told councillors on Thursday that the current financial climate could have a beneficial effect on smaller towns, as people may choose not to travel away from them because of fuel costs.
