needs updating but friendly atmosphere
As I say in the title, its a friendly place. It could do with updating, but its a traditional Helston business which has been there for many many years. The food is good and its popular with the locals.

We have a large menu ranging from a single piece of toast, a full english breakfast to Beef / Pork and Lamb roasts and many drink options.

A view from inside.
As the new(ish) owner of The Coffee Bean I thought I'd better just update the two reviews that have so far been posted on this site.
Since the review was written by Sombrero on 30/05/10, my wife and I took over the business in August 2010.
We have since smartened up the decor (inside and out) and now display locally supplied beautifully constructed mounted photos and canvases on the walls. whilst the design of The Coffee Bean is the same private booth seating at the bottom and open planned seating at the window, everything is so much smarter than before. Why not pop back and see what has changed.
To ensure that I do not affect the current 4 star rating it currently has from a 5 and 3 star reviews, I have given it 4 stars.
As Sealubber points out, our menu is extensiveand as Sombrero mentions our All Day Breakfast should not be missed and our prices are very customer friendly.

Real restaurant for real people
This is how a restaurant should be, although the Coffee bean is indeed a 1960's throwback with green booth style seating at the back and formica topped tables at the front it is the staff and customers that make it the place to visit with a multitude of conversations humming over the coffee and cake.
The menu is traditional and wide ranging and includes a kiddies menu (there is even a hot milk and honey option)
