If you use buses, from Monday it’s going to become easier to buy your tickets in Helston. The operator First Devon and Cornwall is now going to be selling them over the counter at local shops with a PayPoint facility.

It means you’ll be able to pick up FirstWeek Cornwall and FirstMonth Cornwall tickets from Turnpike Garage, Helston Co-op, Spar and Porthleven supermarket at the same time as picking up bread and milk or topping up your gas or electricity.

First hopes it’ll encourage more people to buy their tickets off the bus, which in turn may speed up boarding times, and it means you can take advantage of the cheaper deals on bus travel that are available to anyone who buys multi-journey tickets in advance. 

FirstWeek Cornwall and FirstMonth Cornwall tickets will still be available to buy on the bus from the driver though and First6Month Cornwall and FirstYear Cornwall tickets can also be bought online from www.firstgroup.com/etickets
